At Participants United, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal information. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to direct us not to "sell" or "share" your personal information.
What does "Sell" or "Share" mean in this context?
As detailed in our Privacy Policy, we do not sell your personal information in the traditional sense for money. However, the CCPA has a broad definition that may include activities like sharing information with affiliate partners when you click a link or with a sponsor when you download a piece of their content. Opting out will stop us from sharing your information for these purposes.
How to Exercise Your Right to Opt-Out
You can submit a request to opt-out of the sale or sharing of your personal information by sending us an email. You do not need to create an account to exercise your rights.
Send an email to support@participantsunited.com with the subject line "CCPA Right to Opt-Out".
To help us locate your record, please include the following information in your email:
- Your Full Name
- The Email Address associated with your Participants United account or communications
What Happens Next?
Once we receive your request, we will process it as soon as feasibly possible, within a maximum of 15 business days. We will respect your decision for at least 12 months before we may ask you to opt back in.
Exercising your right to opt-out will not affect your ability to participate in research studies.
